Tenneco Automotive Adding Nearly 200 Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters to Walker® Product Line

Significant Coverage Expansion Helps Service Shops Capture New Installation Opportunities in Key Exhaust Category

Las Vegas, NV - Tenneco Automotive (NYSE: TEN) will expand its popular Walker line of direct-fit replacement catalytic converters by nearly 200 SKUs in 2005, providing coverage of an estimated 37 million additional North American vehicles. The line expansion is one of the largest investments in new direct-fit converter models in the brand's history.

Walker direct-fit catalytic converters are engineered to provide an exact, original equipment-style fit for trouble-free installation. Each unit features a high-quality stainless steel body, OE-style flanges, heat-shielded pipe, structural brace, and channel-formed flanges for enhanced strength and durability.

More than 100 new direct-fit converters will be featured in the Walker converter catalog to be issued in April 2005. The remaining new SKUs will be introduced to the product line by late June.
