Tenneco Building on Walker® Exhaust Brand's Coverage Leadership

Company to Introduce Nearly 300 Additional Exhaust Assembly, Muffler and Direct-Fit Converter SKUs in 2006

Las Vegas, NV - For the second consecutive year, Tenneco (NYSE: TEN) will build upon its aftermarket coverage leadership in the exhaust and emission control category by introducing nearly 300 additional Walker® replacement exhaust assemblies, premium and standard mufflers and direct-fit catalytic converters.

The Walker® brand is a leading "one-stop" source of replacement exhaust and emission control products for domestic and import passenger vehicles.

In 2006, Tenneco will introduce 100 additional Walker Quiet-Flow® 3 welded muffler and resonator assemblies, 75 new Walker SoundFX™ muffler designs and more than 100 Walker® direct-fit catalytic converters for popular late-model applications. With the new part numbers, Walker® will offer coverage of more than 92 percent of domestic and import vehicle registrations in the U.S. and Canada.

Walker® Quiet-Flow3 exhaust assemblies and mufflers combine sophisticated internal routing and tuning technologies to ensure exceptional flow characteristics and a quiet, OE-style sound. Each Quiet-Flow3 product is manufactured from all-aluminized steel, including the inner shell, which features CF coating technology to enhance overall durability. In addition, each Quiet-Flow3 unit features a carefully engineered cross-section and meticulous pipe routing to eliminate installation surprises.

Walker® SoundFX mufflers are available for most popular domestic and import applications. Each SoundFX muffler is manufactured using all-aluminized materials and provides favorable sound quality. Walker® direct-fit catalytic converters provide an OE-style fit for trouble-free installation. Each unit features a high-quality stainless steel body, OE-style flanges, heat-shielded pipe and structural brace for enhanced strength and durability.
