How to Use Walker’s Search By Specification Feature

Getting the Right Part

Walker’s Find My Part has always been your go-to source for finding the right part for the repair and now with the addition of the Search By Specification function, getting the correct muffler, converter or clamp is easier than ever. Found on the Find My Part page, Search By Specification is useful when searching for universal exhaust parts.

Using the Search By Specification Function

To get started using the Search By Specification feature, pull down on the arrow to reveal a dropdown menu of several parts:

Once you select the part you’re interested in, you’ll see a chart containing the results. Each part number in the chart has a link to the product details page.

You’ll notice that on the header that many of the titles is a filter icon that allows you to filter on a variety of factors depending on the category. 

In this example for universal catalytic converters, you’ll notice several different factors that you can filter on including inlet inside diameter.

Once you apply your preferred filters, you’ll see all the matching results. Here are the results for a inlet inside diameter of 3".

Here’s an example for exhaust elbows. Initially, there are 123 results, and you can filter on tube diameter, finish, inlet type and inlet inside dimension to help you quickly see the parts available. Choose the appropriate filters to help you get the parts you need for your repair or build.
