California Air Resources Board (CARB) New Aftermarket Catalytic Converter Limited Warranty

This Limited Warranty is available for purchases made in California only.

DRiV warrants that the catalyst in this new aftermarket catalytic converter is free from defects in materials and workmanship that would cause the converter to fail to conform to the emission testing and OBDII system compatibility criteria specified by the California Air Resources Board for a period of five years or 50,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first. DRiV warrants the catalytic converter external shell, including end pipes, against corrosion and defective welding for five years or 50,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.

DRiV's obligation under the Limited Warranty described above is limited to one of the following at DRiV’s discretion: (a) payment of the full and reasonable replacement cost of the defective converter (including parts and labor) toward the purchase of a compliant replacement converter or (b) replacement of any such defective converter. Either of these options requires that the defective converter be returned to an authorized dealer, along with the proof of purchase and properly completed warranty certificate. Any incidental and consequential damages are excluded under this warranty, regardless of when the failure occurs. This warranty has no cash value.

To make a claim under this warranty, return the defective product with the dated original receipt to the dealer or retailer from whom it was purchased.

This warranty is conditioned upon the converter being properly installed on the vehicle for which it is designed and cataloged and the said vehicle maintained in proper operating condition. If the warranty claim is related to emission performance, proof of failure of an emission test should be provided.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to purchases made through unauthorized retailers/dealers including unauthorized online sellers. A list of authorized retailers/dealers can be found under WHERE TO BUY. DRiV has no way to confirm the authenticity and quality of products sold through unauthorized resellers and is not obligated to honor warranty claims when purchased from an unauthorized individual, unauthorized retailer/dealer, or unauthorized online retailer. Purchases made through auction sites, marketplaces, private or third-party sales, or other unauthorized online retailers are not eligible for warranty.

This warranty does not apply to: (i) products which have been installed on non-catalogued applications; (ii) products that are new, unused or show signs of normal wear but not defective; (iii) products which have been misused, modified, altered, improperly applied or installed; (iv) product damaged in an accident or by fire, weather, or any other force majeure event or hazard; (v) products which have been installed on vehicles used for commercial, fleet, Governmental or racing purposes or damaged due to vehicle modifications; (vi) obsolete parts no longer available from DRiV; (vii) product that has been transferred from the vehicle on which it was originally installed; (viii) non-genuine DRiV branded product or competitive parts; (ix) product that has been damaged from the use of leaded fuels; and (x) products installed on vehicles that have been modified outside the specifications of the vehicle’s original equipment manufacturer, including but not limited to aftermarket modifications for racing, off-road, or powersports purposes.

DRiV will not accept any returns and is not responsible for any claims related to circumstances and products described in the preceding sentence. All warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed if not stated herein. Any implied warranties you may have under state law are limited to the same duration and other terms as this warranty to the extent permissible.

DRiV will contact warranty-serviced consumers to conduct customer satisfaction surveys relating to product and warranty service. Survey activity will provide valuable feedback and help measure the level of consumer satisfaction in different markets.

This catalytic converter has been designed and manufactured to meet the new aftermarket catalytic converter warranty requirements of the State of California. This catalytic converter will not in its operation, function or malfunction result in any unsafe condition endangering the motor vehicle, its occupants or persons or property in close proximity to the vehicle when properly installed on the vehicle for which it is intended.
